Successful and growing retail ledning company, looking to appoint a young CA (SA) as a Corporate Finance Analyst within their Cape Town head office. To take ownership and responsibility for key strategic initiatives modelling aligned with external stakeholder requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling / Business Plans for strategic initiatives

  • Performing the strategic initiatives financial modelling / business case activities including formulation of methodology and timeline management
  • Ensure the financial models / business cases are prepared in line with External Shareholder strategy / requirements and are financially accurate
  • Responsible for the collation of information from various sources to prepare business plans for management and executive review
  • Review models and provide insights into adjustments or additional information required for finalisation
  • Evaluate new business initiatives from a finance, strategic and business perspective
  • Preparation of overview slides to present the financial model / business plan to management and members of the executive board

Develop financial models to support decision making on existing and potential products

  • Analysis of existing and potential business performance
  • Financial and strategic guidance on enhancement implementationDue Diligence Assistance
  • Assistance with due diligence processes for proposed strategic acquisitionsInvestment Committee Process
  • Assistance with the internal and external investment committee process for strategic initiatives approvalSupport provided to the corporate finance manager & ad hoc projects
  • Deliver on ad hoc projects / requests from the corporate finance manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Newly Qualified CA (SA) or Relevant financial qualification.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years relevant Finance and budgeting / model experience
  • Proven analytical skills  – ability to analyse large volumes of data
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Advantageous: Exposure to Dynamics and Excel Insights Reporting Tool
  • Advantageous: Retail and/ or financial services industry experience
